The QPR Programme Guide

QPR Emblem

The pages here are a display of programmes of my own personal collection and not any pictures that I have been given by others, though that may change with some of the very rare items. They are also a display of the scheduled and played games. The pages include all postponed games I know of as well as those abandoned or not played for other reasons. That is, this set of web pages are both a display of programmes and a rather (near) complete list of all games scheduled and played by QPR since 1882, or as far back as I can go.

There are different types of games. Friendlies are both open and private. All private games will not have a programme but may have a team sheet. In some cases there were no programmes produced for a certain match and if I can source the team sheet, I have included that. Not all games that were postponed or the later played games have programmes. In some cases there are just a single sheet that was inserted into the old programme. Note also that in a number of cases, games were brought forward.

There is a difference between "Postponed" and "Moved". The latter refers to, in almost all cases, a game being moved from a Saturday to a Friday, Sunday or Monday and in a few rare occasions, a Thursday. This was more often done by the TV company that was selecting various games for their broadcast. There is no mention here when a game is moved to a different time on a specific date. An example of that is a 3pm kick off moved to a 12:30pm kick off.

The schedules have been obtained from a programme as early as possible in the season or through football handbooks or similar publications. At the commencement of the season a set of games are scheduled and working that list with the actual games played has provided a more complete list of all postponed and moved games.

The site is not finished, though that is not only owing to the fact that the inclusion of programmes is fluid given that it continues to the present day as you are reading this, but that there are a few seasons that I have not checked against an initial fixture list. There were a few instances where two programme covers existed for one game. I have noted these in the seasons when they occurred and have included both or multiple versions. In some cases this has been owing to a different cover altogether while in a few the colour of the cover has differed.

As with all web sites, there will be errors. Please use the contact page to tell me what these are so that I can alter the pages where appropriate.
